Deso Gear designs outdoor equipment built for real adventures. Born from frustrating trips in Desolation Canyon, we create gear that packs smart, performs reliably, and earns its place on every journey. No fluff, just equipment that works when it matters.

Where are you based?

We're based in Utah, right in the heart of some of the best outdoor terrain in the country. Our gear is tested in the canyons, rivers, and trails we call home.

What products does Deso Gear offer?

We design dry bags, dry boxes and coolers. Each product is built to perform in real backcountry conditions and tested where it counts.

Who is Deso Gear made for?

Our gear is built for outdoor enthusiasts who demand equipment that actually works. River runners, hunters, fishermen, backpackers, overlanders, and anyone who refuses to let subpar gear ruin their adventure. Whether you're running rapids, tracking game, setting up camp, or hitting remote trails, Deso Gear is designed for people who get out there and use it hard.

What materials do you use?

We use materials selected specifically for outdoor performance. 840D TPU-coated fabric for dry bags that stay waterproof and resist abrasion from rocks and rough handling. IPX8-rated zippers that seal when it matters. Corrosion-resistant zinc alloy and aluminum alloy buckles built for strength and durability. Ballistic nylon handles that won't tear or fray. Polypropylene and silicone gaskets engineered for reliable sealing. Rotomolded LLDPE for dry boxes and coolers that take impacts without cracking.

Every material choice is made with longevity and real-world performance in mind.

How should I care for my Deso Gear?

General care guidelines:

  • Rinse your gear with fresh water after each use, especially after exposure to salt water, sand, or mud
  • Air dry completely before storage. Never store wet gear.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Inspect regularly for wear and address any issues early
  • Use mild soap and warm water for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.

Proper maintenance will significantly extend the life of your gear.

What if my gear gets dirty or develops mildew?

For general dirt and grime, wash with mild soap and warm water using a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely.

For mildew or mold:

  1. Brush off any loose dirt with a stiff brush
  2. Clean the affected area with a solution of mild detergent and warm water
  3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water
  4. Air dry completely in direct sunlight with good ventilation
  5. Once fully dry, store in a dry location

Prevention is key. Always dry your gear completely before storage.

Can I use Deso Gear in extreme weather conditions?

Absolutely. Our gear is designed and tested for real outdoor conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and sun exposure. That said, always follow product-specific guidelines and use common sense for your safety.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?

Shipping

What are your shipping costs and delivery times?

Items in stock typically ship within 1-2 business days. Shipping transit times vary between 3-7 business days depending on your location relative to our warehouse.

Standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer expedited shipping options if you need your gear faster.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within the United States. We can accommodate shipments to Canada upon request—email us at hello@desogear.com with your shipping address and desired products for a shipping quote.

Please note: International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and fees once items enter your country.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your package every step of the way.

What if I'm not home for delivery?

For standard shipments, the carrier will typically leave your package at your door or attempt redelivery. For freight shipments of larger items, you must be present to accept delivery—the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico?

Yes, but shipping costs differ from the lower 48 states. Email us at hello@desogear.com with your shipping address and we'll provide a shipping quote for your order.

Returns & Exchanges

What's your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy. Don't love it? Return it. We'll refund your purchase minus a 10% restocking fee once we receive the item in sellable condition. You're responsible for return shipping costs. Items purchased with free shipping will have the original shipping costs deducted from your refund. Complete our return form within 30 days of purchase to get started.

How do I return an item?
  1. Complete our Return Form within 30 days of purchase
  2. Pack the item securely (original packaging preferred but not required)
  3. Ship to the returns address provided in the form using a trackable method. You're responsible for return shipping costs and risk of loss during shipping.
  4. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 5 business days minus a 10% restocking fee. Items purchased with free shipping will have original shipping costs deducted as well.
Can I exchange an item?

Yes! Contact us at hello@desogear.com with your order number and we'll help you exchange for a different size, color, or product.

What if my gear arrives damaged?

Contact us immediately at hello@desogear.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We'll make it right, either by sending a replacement or issuing a full refund. Keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.

Warranty

Do you provide a warranty?

Yes. Deso Gear provides a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty on all products covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty does not extend to:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, or modifications
  • Cosmetic issues that don't affect function
  • Lost or stolen items

How do I file a warranty claim?

If you believe your gear has a manufacturing defect:

  1. Complete our Warranty Claim Form with photos of the defect and proof of purchase
  2. We'll provide a prepaid return label for confirmed manufacturing defects
  3. We'll repair or replace your gear and ship it back free
What if my gear breaks during normal use?

Contact us at hello@desogear.com even if your gear is outside the warranty period. We stand behind our products and want to make sure you're satisfied. We'll work with you to find a solution, whether that's a repair, replacement at a discount, or other resolution.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell my gear?

No, the warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
