Waterproof duffels
When keeping your gear bone-dry isn't optional, you need a bag built without compromise.
Deso Gear waterproof dry duffel bags are engineered for the most demanding conditions on the river and in the backcountry. We rejected cheap PVC in favor of heavy-duty 840D TPU fabric, which offers superior abrasion resistance and stays flexible in the cold. Every bag features RF-welded seams and a fully submersible IPX8-rated airtight zipper, creating a fail-safe seal against the elements.
Built for real conditions:
- IPX8 rated — fully submersible, not just splash resistant
- 840D TPU fabric that won't crack in cold weather
- RF-welded seams with zero stitch holes
- Airtight zipper rated to a minimum of 3 feet in depth
- Backpack straps and haul handles for versatile carry
Whether you're rigging a raft for a multi-day float, protecting optics and electronics on a saltwater trip, or keeping camp clothes dry on a hunt in harsh weather, these bags don't leak. Available in 60L and 90L.
Waterproof Duffel FAQ's
What's a dry duffel bag?
A dry duffel is a bag built to keep gear completely dry, not just water-resistant. Ours use RF-welded seams and an IPX8-rated airtight zipper, so they stay sealed even when fully submerged.
What makes a duffel bag waterproof?
Most "waterproof" bags just use water-resistant fabric. Ours are built with RF-welded seams (no stitch holes) 840D TPU fabric and an IPX8-rated airtight zipper. The seal is in the construction, not a coating that wears off.
What does IPX8 mean?
IPX8 is a waterproof rating that means fully submersible, not just splash-resistant. It's the highest water protection rating available.
Are these good for fishing trips?
Built for it. The IPX8 rating means they handle submersion, not just spray. Keep electronics, tackle, and dry clothes protected on the boat or wading the river.
Are these dry bags good for rafting?
They're built for it. The TPU fabric handles dragging across raft frames and rocks, and the submersible zipper survives getting dunked in rapids.
What's the difference between 60L and 90L?
The 60L fits a weekend's worth of gear or camp clothes for a multi-day trip. The 90L handles longer expeditions or bulkier items like sleeping bags and layers.
How do I close the zipper to keep water out?
Run the zipper all the way across until it locks. The airtight seal engages when fully closed (you'll feel it). If it's not zipped completely, it's not sealed.
